From February 19 to 21, 2025, Workshop on Cross-Border E-Commerce Payment and Risk Management was successfully held virtually. It was jointly organized by Xiamen National Accounting Institute (XNAI) and the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Institute (CAREC Institute), and implemented by the Belt and Road Economic and Financial Capacity Building Platform. As the first event of the Platform in 2025, the program attracted over 80 participants, including financial officials, scholars, and industry experts from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The opening ceremony was attended by Deng Jianping, the vice president of the Institute, and Mr. Kabir Jurazoda, the president of the CAREC Institute.

During the workshop, Ms. Jian Wei, the associate professor from XNAI, Mr. Ghulam Samad, the chief of Research, and Mr. Asif Razzaq, the senior researcher from CAREC Institute, and Chen Yina, the deputy general manager at Bank of China’s Xiamen Branch, delivered thematic presentations on topics including e-commerce and digital payment ecosystems, the current state and challenges of digital development, settlement and cross-border payment mechanisms for e-commerce, as well as the development status and trends of digital currencies.
