From June 16 to 25, 2025, the Seminar on Economic and Trade Cooperation for BRI Partner Countries,, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Repblic of China and organized by the Xiamen National Accounting Institute(XNAI), was successfully held in Xiamen, China. This seminar brought together 36 participants, including officials from economic and trade authorities, scholars, and practitioners from relevant institutions engaged in the field of international trade and economic cooperation from 12 Belt and Road Initiative Partner Countries, such as Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Cyprus, Cuba, Gabon, Guyana, Nepal, Namibia, South Africa, Solomon Islands, Uganda and Zambia..
Theme Lecture, sharing Chinese practical experience
This seminar invited experts and scholars from international institutions and XNAI to conduct lectures and exchange activities on relevant topics.
Professor Deng Liping, a member of the NPC Standing Committee during the 12th and 13th terms, delivered a lecture with a theme on Developments of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era.
XNAI also invited Mr. Qin Jie, former head of strategic coordination at the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), providing valuable insights for enhancing regional economic collaboration among Belt and Road Initiative Partner Countries..
Site Visits, tracing the blue footprints of Opening-up
XNAI led 36 participants to conduct site visits in Hainan Province and Xiamen City., They appreciated the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port, observed the digital reform of the Smart Port in Xiamen Customs Comprehensive Service Hall, witnessed the remarkable achievements of Chinese opening-up policies and practices, understood the profound implication of Chinese modernization, and pondered the significance of the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind.
At the closing ceremony, Mr. Deng Jianping, the vice president of XNAI, stated that the Institute has served numerous financial officials, scholars, experts, and practitioners from Belt and Road Partner Countries by now..

In February 2025, XNAI was officially approved as an implementing organization for the China-Aid Human Resources Development and Cooperation Program by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China. This seminar, building on the XNAI’ successfully helding China-aid training programs over the past three years, represents a practical effort by the Institute. Looking ahead, as an independent organizer, XNAI will align its efforts on the Belt and Road Economic and Financial Capacity Building Platform, concentrating on key areas such as fiscal and tax policy, accounting and auditing, integrity and compliance, as well as economic and trade cooperation, to expand its scale of capacity development programs.
