Capacity Building Workshops on Anticorruption and Integrity Successfully Concluded

From August 28 to 29, during the 2nd Asia-Pacific Anticorruption and Integrity Forum, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Xiamen National Accounting Institute (XNAI), and the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) jointly organized a Capacity Building Workshops on Anticorruption and Integrity. The workshops featured diverse formats including presentations, case studies, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions. It facilitated extensive exchange on a wide range of topics such as business integrity and compliance, the ISO 37001 standard (Anti-Bribery Management Systems), procurement policies of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), conflicts of interest, and integrity due diligence. Mr. Mouhamadou Diagne, Vice President of Integrity at the World Bank Group and Ms. Paula Santos da Costa, Director of the Office of Integrity and Anticorruption at the African Development Bank (AfDB) delivered opening remarks, emphasizing the critical importance of integrity and compliance and the expectation of MDBs for the highest ethical standards.

The workshops attracted over 200 participants, including representatives from MDBs and Chinese government departments, as well as managers, compliance and legal officers from enterprises, universities, law firms, and accounting firms across the country.
