On August 27, the 2nd Asia-Pacific Anticorruption and Integrity Forum was held at the Xiamen National Accounting Institute (XNAI). The forum was jointly hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), XNAI, and the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF), with co-organization by the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) and the Secretariat of Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District. The forum is themed "Delivering Development with Integrity". It actively implements the "Promoting Integrity-Based Belt and Road Cooperation" initiative announced by President Xi Jinping at the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and implements the requirements of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee’s emphasis on "building up compliance capacity, and better preventing corruption-related risks". The aim is to build a consensus on integrity and compliance cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region and help enterprises improve their compliance management levels.
The opening ceremony of the forum was chaired by Han Jingyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of XNAI. Distinguished attendees included Roberta Casali, Vice-President for Finance and Risk Management of ADB; Mouhamadou Diagne, Vice-President of Integrity at the World Bank Group (WBG); Wang Zhongjing, CEO of MCDF; Huang Xiaozhou, Executive Vice Mayor of Xiamen Municipal Government; Xiang Xianchun, Second-level Inspector, the Department of Asset Management of the Ministry of Finance (MOF).
The forum featured five panel discussions, bringing together officials from international organizations, representatives from Chinese government agencies such as the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and the National Audit Office, as well as participants from academic and industry sectors.
The event attracted approximately 230 participants from international institutions including the ADB, WBG, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank(AIIB), the African Development Bank(AfDB), the New Development Bank(NDB), and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime(UNODC), as well as government agencies, universities, and enterprises from China, Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries.
