On May 14–15, the 2nd ASEAN+3 Finance Think-tank Network (AFTN) Seminar and the 4th AFTN Steering Committee Meeting were held in Hong Kong, China.

The 2nd AFTN Seminar, co-hosted by the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) and the Hong Kong Academy of Finance (HKMAF), centered on the theme "Technology: Redefining the ASEAN+3 Regional Economic Paradigm." Experts from AFTN member institutions, the IMF-Singapore Regional Training Institute, Ant Group, and other organizations engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as fintech, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation in the ASEAN+3 region. Faculty members of XNAI actively participated in the seminar online.

On the afternoon of the 15th, Wang Zhixuan, Deputy Director of the Research Center for the Belt & Road Financial and Economic Development, attended the 4th AFTN Steering Committee Meeting. He provided an overview of XNAI and exchanged views on the theme and content of the 2026 AFTN Workshop, drawing on XNAI’s practical research achievements.
