Mouhamadou Diagne: the World Bank Group will Continue Support and Participate in the Asia-Pacific Integrity and Compliance Forum

Date:2025-10-08

Recently, Mouhamadou Diagne, Vice President of Integrity at the World Bank Group, visited Xiamen National Accounting Institute (XNAI) to attend the 3rd Asia-Pacific Integrity and Compliance Forum and the 2025 International Infrastructure Compliance Forum. On the morning of September 15, Deng Jianping, Vice President of XNAI, held a meeting with Mr. Diagne to exchange views on deepening cooperation between the WBG and XNAI. Staff from Research Center for the Belt & Road Financial and Economic Development and the Graduate Department of XNAI also attended the meeting.

Deng Jianping extended a warm welcome to Mr. Diagne and expressed gratitude for his strong support of the Asia-Pacific Integrity and Compliance Forum, as well as XNAI’s international branding and talent development initiatives. He stated that XNAI looks forward to further strengthening cooperation with WBG in the field of integrity and compliance to jointly achieve more substantial outcomes.

Mouhamadou Diagne emphasized that although the Asia-Pacific Integrity and Compliance Forum is a relatively new initiative, it has quickly become an important platform for gathering expertise in the Asia-Pacific region. It offers valuable opportunities for WBG to deepen integrity and compliance collaboration with regional stakeholders and expand channels of dialogue. WBG will continue to support and participate in the Forum and explore further cooperation with XNAI in areas such as knowledge sharing, capacity building, and integrity and compliance advocacy.

In 2023, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Xiamen National Accounting Institute jointly initiated the Asia-Pacific Integrity and Compliance Forum, which has been held at XNAI for three consecutive years. Following his first attendance in 2024, Mr. Diagne returned to Xiamen this year to participate in the third edition of the Forum and related events. During the second Forum, he remarked that the Asia-Pacific Integrity and Compliance Forum is “becoming an important pillar in promoting integrity cooperation and dialogue.”
