In October 2023, the Belt and Road Economic and Financial Capacity Building Platform, overseen by the Ministry of Finance of China, was included in the List of Practical Cooperation Deliverables of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. This project is implemented by Xiamen National Accounting Institute jointly with Beijing National Accounting Institute and Shanghai National Accounting Institute. Specifically, the Platform is based on strengthening think tank research capabilities, takes deepening policy communication capabilities as a key focus, and aims to foster financial and economic talent capabilities. Through multi-dimensional financial and economic capacity building, it provides sustainable intellectual and talent support for the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and explores the establishment of an innovative model of “Financial and Economic Think Tank + Forum Exchange + High-End Training”.
